What is a suitable age for my child to commence dance lessons?

You can enrol your little one in Tinymovers from 2.5-4.5 years old. We can't wait to meet you!

Can my child try a class before enrolling?

Yes, we offer trial class dates throughout each term and find it's a great way to introduce your child to the program.  Book a Trial Class

What should my child wear?

We encourage children to be barefoot and wear their favourite dress-up outfit or comfortable clothes to a trial lesson. On enrolment, we will present your little dancer with a special Danzart leotard or T-shirt.

Girls wear pink ballet shoes, and boys wear black jazz shoes available at dancewear stores.

Where can I buy tap shoes?

We recommend the following stores for footwear:

• Stretch Out (Holdsworth St, Coorparoo)

• Sue's Shop (Old Cleveland Rd, Carina)

Is there an annual concert for Tinymovers?

Yes, there is! Tinymovers and Tapmovers classes all have an end-of-year concert.  The performance isn't compulsory, but it's so much fun, we find most families love to get involved. It's a great way to celebrate the year.

Can parents watch classes?

Yes, we have large screens in our cosy reception area where you can discreetly watch your child participate in any class. We find it best to watch dance classes from reception so your child can focus on the lesson. However, caregivers are more than welcome to join in should your little dancer need that extra reassurance.

We open the studio for parents, carers, grandparents and special friends to watch all Tinymover types during a special open week in Term 2.  

How many students will be in my child's group?

We want your child's dance experience to be as safe and enjoyable as possible. Our studio ensures every class has the recommended educator-to-child ratio.

Which class is suitable for my child's ability?

Tiny Movers classes are for ages 2.5 to 4.5. We provide an age guide, but it is only a guide. We're more interested in your child having fun and building on their interests and strengths.

Tap Movers is recommended for ages 3-5.

My child is turning 5 soon; what's next?

Prep Dance is our perfectly tailored program for children attending Prep.  These classes provide a fun safe learning environment for your child while we focus on developing a strong technical foundation and build confidence.

Class Fees

45-minute class $165 per ten-week term

30 min class $155 per ten- week term

If you decide to enrol during term time, we can pro-rata your fees to reflect the number of weeks remaining in the term.

What are the payment options?

Unless otherwise agreed, all dance fees should be paid in full by their due date listed on your invoice.
