Our dress code is designed for your safety and comfort. It offers practical yet stylish options to help you move freely and express yourself. Our range of functional and comfortable uniforms makes looking and feeling your best easy.
Uniform Purchases Made Easy
Uniforms are available for purchase at our studio during the following times:
- Monday to Thursday: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Please note that streetwear is not permitted in class.
Hair and Accessories
To maintain a polished look and ensure safety during classes:
- Hair must be neat and tied back in a ponytail.
- Fringes should be secured away from the face.
Dance Shoes & Tights
Dance shoes and tights are available at:
- Stretch-Out, Coorparoo
- Sue’s Dance Shop, Carina
Following our dress code will help create a unified and professional environment where every dancer can shine.
No school uniforms or baggy clothing are to be worn. Must be Danzart-branded attire.
What should you wear for Prep and Primary Ballet when in multiple classes?
- Danzart pink leotard
- Danzart pink ballet skirt
- Danzart shorts worn over a leotard for acrobatics and tap
- Camel tap shoes for tap
- Pink ballet tights
- Pink ballet shoes
All ballet students must wear pink tights and shoes. Their hair must be groomed into a bun without fringe and covered with a hair net.
What to wear for Primary Ballet?
- Danzart pink leotard
- Danzart pink ballet skirt
- Danzart shorts worn over a leotard for acrobatics and tap
- Camel tap shoes for tap

What to wear for Ballet Grades 1 & 2
- Danzart pale blue leotard

What to wear for Ballet Grades 3, 4 & 5?
- Danzart navy leotard

What should you wear for ballet majors, advanced/seniors/open?
- Black leotard (style of student’s choice)

- Pointe shoes when required
What to wear for Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Tap & Hip Hop?
Select from a variety of Danzart dance attire:
- Leotards
- Crop tops
- Tank tops
- Dance shorts
- Tights
- Intermediate, Pre-Senior, and Senior students must wear predominately black Danzart attire. No Baggie T-Shirts.
Dance Shoe Requirements
- Jazz & Musical Theatre: black jazz shoes (slip on bootee)
- Contemporary & Lyrical: foot thongs or socks
- Tap: Pre-Primary to Intermediate - camel tap shoes
- Tap: Pre-Senior to Senior - black tap shoes
- Hip Hop: Converse style shoes, trainers or black jazz shoes
- Acrobatics: Jazz shoes can be worn, and bare feet are acceptable (NB. jazz shoes are required for concert items)
